Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. in Makati, Philippines is seeking a Controllership Consolidation Officer to oversee the monthly to annual group consolidation across multiple entities.

You will ensure timely financial close and accurate postings within the GL, while coordinating intercompany eliminations and currency translations. The role requires 2–4 years in general accounting and consolidation, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with PFRS and ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation across entities.

• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies with entity owners.
• Prepare stand-alone parent and consolidated financial reports including notes.
• Assist Controllership manager with management reporting packs and variance analysis.
• Own the month-end GL close process with accurate journal postings.
• Maintain chart of accounts with ERP/IT Master Data collaboration.
• Support external audits with schedules, working papers, and documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, equity, bank).
• Manage Fixed Asset Register and asset verifications per policy.
• Coordinate with AP/Tax for sub-ledger postings and tax adjustments.
• Assist ERP/Systems team with ledger updates and consolidation schedules.

The Controllership Consolidation Officer supports the timely and proper consolidation of financial transactions in conformity with accounting standards, statutory and regulatory requirements. He/She assists in the preparation of financial schedules and reports to support statutory reporting and internal reporting within the Company and Aboitiz Group, and helps maintain and reconcile the general ledger (GL) and asset accounts under the guidance of the Consolidation Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process across multiple entities/subsidiaries
• Prepare and post intercompany elimination entries, foreign currency translations, and consolidation adjustments.
• Reconcile intercompany balances continuously and resolve discrepancies directly with entity owners.
• Prepare stand-alone parent and consolidated financial reports and supports such as notes to financial statements.
• Assist the Controllership manager with management reporting packs and variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget/Prior Period).
• Own the month-end GL close process, ensuring all journal entries are posted accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain the chart of accounts in collaboration with the ERP Systems Lead/IT Master Data.
• Support external audit processes by preparing audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, equity, bank accounts) to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage the Fixed Asset Register/Schedule, tracking of capital expenditures, acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
• Conduct periodic physical asset verifications and impairment reviews in accordance with company policy.
• Coordinate with the AP/Tax Accountant on sub-ledger (AP) to general ledger postings and tax-related ledger adjustments.
• Support the ERP/Systems Support Lead in testing ledger updates and streamlining consolidation schedules.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in general accounting, financial consolidation and income tax compliance and reporting, with at least 2 years of exposure in external audit. Working in a Big 4 firm is a plus.
• Experience within a conglomerate structure is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of PFRS, particularly around intercompany eliminations, is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage, complemented by solid Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, formulas).
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work within month-end deadlines.
