Proactis is seeking a qualified accounting professional to lead statutory and group reporting for a multi-entity, multi-currency group based in Manila. You will prepare annual financial statements for subsidiaries and support consolidation notes in the required group format.
You will act as the main liaison for statutory and group audits in Manila, coordinating fieldwork, preparing schedules, and tracking items to closure, while advising on IFRS matters and tax coordination with local advisors.
Preparation of annual financial statements of subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions
Support preparation of consolidated notes disclosures in the required Group format
Act as the main liaison for the statutory and Group audit conducted in Manila: coordinate audit fieldwork logistics, prepare audit schedules and supporting evidence, and track open items to closure and the main audit liaison for the subsidiaries
Draft clear, well-referenced responses to auditor queries (local and Group auditors), escalating technical IFRS questions to the Group Reporting Manager where judgement is required
Liaise with the respective local tax advisors in all group jurisdictions on corporation tax compliance matters, including coordination on queries raised by local tax authorities and preparation of draft tax calculations and disclosures for the group and subsidiaries company financial statements
Maintain and improve local supporting schedules and working papers so they reconcile cleanly to Group consolidation submissions
Assist with technical accounting research and short position papers on emerging IFRS topics
BS Accountancy Degree, CPA (Philippines) qualified, Practice background (Top 6), and 2-4 years' relevant post-qualification experience
Background in group/statutory reporting in multi-entity, multi-currency environment
Solid working knowledge of IFRS, particularly consolidation mechanics, intercompany elimination, foreign currency translation and disclosure requirements
Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and comfort reconciling data across multiple currencies and entities
Confident, professional communicator, able to explain accounting positions clearly to both local management and Group subsidiary auditors and tax advisors
Organised and deadline-driven, able to manage concurrent close, audit and ad hoc deliverables
Fluent in English (written and spoken); exposure to a multinational, matrixed reporting environment is an advantage
Private Equity-backed or high-growth environment
Experience with financial statements preparation software
Experience using ERP accounting systems
