Job summary

JBC Ventures seeks a Controller (Finance Head) to own the financial backbone of the business in the Philippines. You’ll set financial discipline, protect margins, and provide leadership with actionable insights for fast decisions.

Your role covers day-to-day accounting, statutory reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, tax compliance, and strategic business partnering to drive growth in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification or strong accounting/finance background required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong grasp of Philippine tax and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Build and maintain internal controls that safeguard company assets.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast liquidity, and optimize working capital.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with department heads.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Build and maintain internal controls that safeguard company assets.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor receivables, payables, and credit lines to optimize liquidity.
• Forecast cash flow and anticipate financing needs.
• Improve collection processes and payment terms.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead annual budget planning and rolling forecasts.
• Partner with department heads to track performance against budgets.
• Provide variance analysis with clear, actionable insights.

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, government reporting, and audits.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulators.

Business Partnering

• Support leadership in financial decision-making with scenario analysis.
• Recommend process improvements and systems upgrades to strengthen financial operations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management — balancing risk management with growth.

Job Requirements:

• CPA or strong accounting/finance background (mandatory).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to both corporate and project-based environments.
• Strong grasp of Philippine tax and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
