JOB SUMMARY
The Contracts Administrator is tasked with implementing and managing all aspects of contract administration and management for a project. This includes the development and use of contract administration tools and procedures, interpreting contractual provisions, and ensuring adherence to contract terms. The role involves managing client and stakeholder communications, overseeing change processes and contract modifications, and mitigating risks to effectively deliver projects to client satisfaction. Strong written communication, numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also essential as the role demands effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders and the preparation of comprehensive reports. The Contracts Administrator is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the strategic management of all contract-related activities within the Engineering, Operations, and Construction (EOC) industry. This role requires a strong understanding of contract law, commercial acumen, for contract related laws and Philippine law.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT and IMPLEMENTATION
- Lead and participate in contract review with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure commercially favorable terms.
- Review, analyze, and interpret contractual provisions to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
- Oversee the finalization and execution of contracts, ensuring all approvals and supporting documentation are completed.
- Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle and monitor adherence to contractual obligations.
- Provide expert contractual advice and guidance to internal departments and project teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and operational risks associated with projects and agreements.
- Develop negotiation strategies that align with company objectives and risk management requirements.
- Draft, review, and amend contracts, NDAs, MOUs, partnership agreements, and other legal and commercial documents.
- Establish and maintain contract administration tools, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Manage client and stakeholder communications relating to contractual matters and change management requirements.
B. SUPPORT and COLLABORATION
- Support the Supply Chain Management and Proposal Teams by reviewing contractual requirements and providing clarifications.
- Participate in contract review meetings, commercial review sessions, technical meetings, and project briefings.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of contracts, correspondence, approvals, amendments, and related documentation.
- Prepare regular status reports highlighting contract performance, milestones, risks, claims, and potential issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance contract administration processes, efficiency, compliance, and commercial outcomes.
- Support the Governance team on delayed claims and other related claims.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
- Must have attended Contract Management, Contract Law, Commercial Management, Procurement, Risk Management, Negotiation, and Project Management training.
- Relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in contract administration, commercial management, procurement, or construction-related industries, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Must be willing to be deployed in REAL, QUEZON PROVINCE.
- Willing to start immediately/ASAP.
- One (1) Project-Based contract is available.
