Job summary

OpenAI in the Philippines is seeking a hands-on Contract Accountant to support month-end close and day-to-day operational accounting for cloud computing and AI infrastructure costs.

The role involves translating contract terms and invoicing data into accurate accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations. You will work with finance, procurement, and data teams to resolve issues and ensure audit-ready outputs.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in accounting and close processes.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP or equivalent standards.
• Ability to translate contracts, invoices, and data into accurate accounting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support month-end and quarter-end close activities including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Validate invoices and data against rates, usage, and contracts; monitor status and resolve issues.
• Follow established policies, controls, and close calendars; provide audit-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve blockers and improve processes.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to reduce manual effort and improve documentation.
