The Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible for leading process improvement initiatives and providing specialist expertise in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, and process management across Global HR Services.
Working as part of the Process Excellence team, this role partners with Global Process Owners, HR Services leaders, HR Technology teams, and operational stakeholders to improve process performance, enhance customer and employee experiences, and drive measurable business outcomes. The role applies structured problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies to identify opportunities, address process challenges, and support strategic transformation priorities.
The CI Lead acts as a recognized subject matter expert in process improvement and operational excellence, supporting the delivery of operational and transformation initiatives through facilitation, coaching, analytical insight, and improvement leadership. Through collaboration and influence, the role helps embed a culture of continuous improvement while enabling sustainable improvements in quality, efficiency, compliance, and service performance
The Role
- Lead continuous improvement projects and workstreams across HR Services and related business functions.
- Partner with Process Owners, operational leaders, and subject matter experts to identify process improvement opportunities and performance gaps.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma, process management, and analytical techniques to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions.
- Facilitate process mapping, value stream analysis, root cause analysis, and improvement workshops.
- Analyse process and operational performance data and leverage to generate insights and support decision making.
- Support the design and implementation of process improvements, standardization initiatives, AI initiatives and operational excellence programmes.
- Provide expertise and guidance on continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Champion a process-first approach, ensuring operational challenges are understood and addressed through process improvement principles.
- Support business case development, benefits tracking, and measurement of improvement outcomes.
- Coach stakeholders and project teams in the application of continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
During BAU
- Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities using operational metrics, process data, and customer feedback.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving activities to address process inefficiencies, service issues, control weaknesses, and quality concerns.
- Support Process Owners and operational teams in improving process effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Develop process documentation, current-state assessments, future-state designs, and improvement recommendations.
- Track realized benefits and support ongoing performance management activities.
- Share leading practices and promote continuous improvement capability across teams.
During Transformation
- Support strategic transformation initiatives through process analysis, diagnostic assessments, and improvement expertise.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align on business problems, improvement priorities, and solution approaches.
- Support AI/automation initiatives through structured analysis and business case development.
- Translate improvement opportunities into actionable recommendations, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Support pilot activities and validate improvement opportunities using data-driven approaches.
- Assist in the development of performance measurement frameworks to track transformation outcomes and benefits realization.
- Provide continuous improvement expertise throughout programmed lifecycles to help ensure successful implementation and sustainable adoption.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Process Management, Business Transformation, Consulting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies within complex operational environments.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required. Green Belt candidates with significant experience may be considered.
- Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis, value stream analysis, and process performance measurement.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities.
- Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning, or a related field.
- Desirable - working knowledge of HR technology platforms supporting onboarding, talent development, learning administration, case management, workflow, knowledge management, reporting, and HR data.
- Desirable - experience working with multinational companies, including large, geographically dispersed teams and offshore resources.
