Job summary

East West Banking Corporation in Taguig/Ortigas is seeking a Senior Manager – Senior Assistant Vice President for Consumer Collections Strategy and Analytics to lead a team of strategists and develop data-driven collection strategies across the customer lifecycle.

You will drive initiatives, monitor trends, and collaborate with leaders to optimize processes while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance within a large Philippine bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Banking and Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in Collections, Credit Risk, or Consumer Lending.
• Solid understanding of banking practices, regulatory requirements, BSP guidelines, and risk management for consumer lending.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend strategies.
• Proficiency in data analytics, data preparation, project management, and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
• Hands-on experience with SAS and Python to support reporting and decision-making.
• Familiarity with fraud detection concepts and financial analysis is advantageous.

Our Consumer Collections MIS, Systems, Strategy and Analytics team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig with the role of Consumer Collections Strategy and Analytics Department Head.

In this role, you will develop, implement, and optimize collections strategies across the customer lifecycle, from pre-delinquent to written-off accounts, leveraging data-driven insights, digital platforms, and performance analysis to improve portfolio results, recovery rates, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

• Design, implement, and optimize collections strategies across the customer lifecycle, leveraging champion-challenger methodologies, analytics, and performance monitoring to improve portfolio results and agency effectiveness.
• Oversee strategic initiatives from planning through execution, collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and enhance collections performance.
• Analyze portfolio trends, capacity requirements, operational metrics, and business performance to provide data-driven recommendations on staffing, processes, policies, and collection strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across collections operations, ensuring customer-centric practices, process efficiency, and effective governance of strategy documentation and controls.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, audit directives, and risk management standards while supporting the timely implementation of corrective actions and business controls.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Banking amd Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or any related field.
• Proven experience in Collections, Credit Risk, or Consumer Lending, with strong knowledge of the consumer credit lifecycle and products such as credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, and mortgages.
• Solid understanding of banking practices, regulatory requirements, BSP guidelines, and risk management principles relevant to consumer lending.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend effective business strategies and policy enhancements.
• Proficiency in data analytics, data preparation, project management, and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
• Hands-on experience with analytical and programming tools such as SAS and Python to support reporting, strategy development, and decision-making.
• Familiarity with fraud detection concepts, accounting principles, and financial analysis is an advantage.
