Job summary

Responsibilities include inspecting worksites, reporting non-compliance, investigating accidents, conducting hazard analyses, maintaining safety records, and supporting corrective actions while promoting safety culture.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Safety training and COSH are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects worksites, reports conditions and practices not in compliance with safety standards.
• Observes operations and activities, reports unsafe acts and behaviors.
• Investigates accidents, near misses and safety-related problems.
• Prepares hazard analysis of work methods and procedures.
• Determines hazards and causes of safety problems.
• Records hazards and safety concerns discussed in committee meetings.
• Reviews corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provides safety information, advice and recommendations as required.
• Sets a good safety example at all times.
• Positively influences management to take required safety actions.
• Safety committee minutes and safety referral reports.
• Provides meaningful safety statistics and safety performance measurements.
• Keeps updated about construction hazards from various sources.
