Job summary

PeopleGig seeks a capable Bookkeeper to establish and manage the day-to-day finance function for a construction business. You will handle end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, supplier accounts, bank reconciliations and job cost coding with accuracy.

The role requires detail orientation, independence, and a proactive approach, with hands-on Xero experience and familiarity with Buildertrend or similar platforms. Australian payroll knowledge is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or Business preferred.
• Xero Certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the day-to-day bookkeeping function.
• Handle payroll, supplier accounts, and bank reconciliations.
• Perform end-to-end bookkeeping including job cost coding and compliance.
