Job summary

Asea Airports Development Corporation seeks an experienced General Accounting Supervisor to oversee accounting operations, project costing, billing, collections, and financial reporting in our construction-focused environment.

The role leads the accounting team, ensures compliance with Philippine regulations, strengthens internal controls, and coordinates with Project, Operations, Sales, and Finance to deliver timely, accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Background in construction accounting and revenue/collection management is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of project costing, progress billing, retention, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of BIR compliance and Philippine accounting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Monitors construction project costing, expenses, progress billing, retention, and project-related transactions.
• Oversees revenue recognition, customer billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities.
• Monitors outstanding receivables and coordinates follow-ups to ensure timely collection of revenues.
• Reviews invoices, billings, receipts, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares and reviews monthly financial and management reports.
• Ensures compliance with BIR, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Analyzes revenue, collections, project costs, and financial variances and report significant issues to management.
• Supervises and guides accounting staff and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Coordinates with Project, Operations, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders.
• Strengthens internal controls and recommends improvements to accounting and collection processes.
