A structured pathway into RTO compliance, applications and advisory services
Fusion360 is looking for high-potential Compliance & Applications Cadets to join an innovative 12-month development program supporting Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) clients.
Designed for an early-career professional with strong potential, this role combines formal learning, hands‑on client work, mentoring and progressive responsibility.
You will spend your first six months developing capability within the Applications Team, before moving into the Compliance Team for the second half of the program.
This is a genuine career-development position designed to build the next generation of RTO compliance and applications professionals.
12-month specialist cadetship with structured milestone-based development
Two professional disciplines: RTO applications and compliance
Career progression: successful completion leads to full role allocation and a salary uplift
Phase 1 — Applications | Months 1–6
Working under the Applications Manager and senior mentors, you will develop practical knowledge of:
ASQA registration requirements
Standards for RTOs
RTO registration applications
Scope-change applications
Client onboarding
Professional regulatory correspondence
Document and records management
360RTO systems and processes
You will initially work under close supervision, with responsibility increasing as your capability is demonstrated.
Phase 2 — Compliance | Months 7–12
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will broaden your experience by supporting active RTO clients with:
Ongoing compliance management
Internal compliance reviews
Gap analysis
Performance assessment preparation
Compliance status reporting
Risk identification and escalation
Client communication and advisory activities
Your development will be actively managed throughout the program.
You will:
Complete induction and structured training
Undertake LMS modules and competency assessments
Participate in knowledge reviews
Meet milestone gates at Months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12
Seek and apply feedback
Work with senior mentors to progressively build your independence
Accuracy is fundamental to the role. You will be expected to:
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Follow approved processes, templates and quality standards
Accurately record time and activities
Manage priorities and deadlines
Maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate professional conduct
Contribute positively to the team and cadet cohort
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong organisation and time management
Initiative and self-motivation
Reliability and accountability
Genuine enthusiasm for learning
Ability to receive and apply feedback
Basic MS Office capability
Willingness to learn LMS, HRIS and document-management systems
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
A professional and client-focused mindset
Professional experience: Less than two years. Fresh graduates and early-career applicants are welcome.
You don't need extensive RTO experience.
We are looking for potential — someone who can absorb information, follow processes carefully, communicate professionally and progressively take ownership of increasingly complex work.
If you enjoy learning how systems work, spotting details others might miss and developing specialist expertise, this role offers an opportunity to turn those strengths into a professional career.
Entry-level positions combining RTO applications, regulatory compliance, audit preparation and client advisory exposure are relatively uncommon. This cadetship goes further by providing a defined development structure, senior mentoring and progressive responsibility across two specialised operational teams.
Rather than entering the workforce in a generic administrative role, you will be developing knowledge in a specialised area of the Australian VET sector from day one.
