Moder Solutions Inc. is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, administer, and manage compensation programs for a US-based client. The role partners with People Operations to align strategies with market practices and corporate goals.
The ideal candidate will handle US compensation, payroll, and incentive programs, with mortgage/financial services experience and strong Excel skills. The position requires confidentiality and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
About the Role
The Compensation Analyst plays a key role in designing, administering, and managing compensation programs, policies, and procedures across the organization. This position partners closely with business leaders and the People Operations team to ensure compensation strategies are aligned with organizational goals, market competitiveness, and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting US-based organizations, managing compensation and incentive programs, and analyzing compensation data. Experience within the mortgage industry and expertise in sales commission processing are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for compensation-related matters, providing guidance and support across the organization.
Manage the accurate calculation, reporting, and timely payment of variable compensation plans, including sales commissions, incentives, and loan operations bonuses.
Calculate and process sales commissions using the company's incentive compensation platform, ensuring compliance with compensation plans and company policies.
Support the implementation and execution of compensation-related projects and initiatives.
Configure, administer, and maintain compensation and incentive plans within internal systems.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process and system improvements related to compensation administration.
Develop, review, and maintain job descriptions to ensure proper alignment of roles, responsibilities, and compensation structures.
Coordinate and gather documentation required for compensation-related audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements.
Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analyses using compensation surveys and external market data to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.
Provide guidance to managers and business leaders regarding compensation policies, programs, and best practices.
Research, analyze, and recommend appropriate compensation levels, job grades, and titles for new and existing positions.
Participate in salary surveys and prepare compensation analysis reports and recommendations.
Build strong partnerships with business leaders and internal stakeholders to support organizational compensation needs.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc compensation, commission, and incentive reports for Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and compensation data.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment and compensation regulations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience supporting US-based compensation, payroll, benefits, or HR operations.
Experience participating in or supporting HR system implementations, particularly involving compensation, payroll, benefits, or HR processes.
Experience handling compensation, benefits, payroll, commissions, or incentive programs for US-based clients or organizations.
Hands‑on experience with HRIS, payroll, or compensation management systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Experience within the mortgage, banking, financial services, or BPO industry.
Experience processing sales commissions, incentive programs, or variable compensation plans.
Familiarity with job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and compensation survey methodologies.
Knowledge of US compensation practices and payroll processes.
Experience with CompenSafe (nCino Incentive Compensation) is a must have.
Location: Cebu (Work from Office then transition to WFH)
