Job summary

Fortuna Mining Corporation is seeking a Community Relations Officer to develop and implement community engagement programs that strengthen relationships with stakeholders and local organizations in the Ilocos Norte area.

You will represent the company at events, coordinate outreach, and ensure community concerns are addressed effectively, while aligning with CSR initiatives and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong communication, event planning, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 2-5 years in community relations or public affairs; excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities; proven event organization experience; good project management and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms; able to work independently and in a team; willing to travel within the project area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement and outreach programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local government units, NGOs, schools, and other stakeholders.
• Organize and coordinate community events, meetings, and public consultations.
• Represent the organization at community activities, forums, and partnership events.
• Respond to community inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and CSR initiatives.
• Prepare reports on community engagement activities and measure program effectiveness.
• Coordinate volunteer activities and community development projects.
• Work closely with internal departments to communicate community needs and organizational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations related to community relations.
• Support crisis communication and community issue resolution when necessary.
