Job summary

OPEN INNOVATION INC. is seeking a Collection Assistant to join our Accounting team in Metro Manila on a full-time basis.

This role supports accounts receivable by managing customer accounts, pursuing overdue payments, and maintaining accurate records, contributing to healthy cash flow and timely collections. You will monitor invoices, contact customers for payments, and prepare aging reports while liaising with the sales team on disputed invoices.

Qualifications

• Completed secondary education; accounting or business qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in accounts receivable, credit control or collections administration.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional handling of difficult conversations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP software systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
• Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with invoicing and payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed records of collection activities, payment arrangements and customer communications.
• Process payments received from customers and reconcile accounts accurately.
• Prepare aging reports and collection statistics to support management decision-making.
• Follow up on payment commitments and escalate non-payment issues when necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of collection letters and formal dunning notices.
• Liaise with the sales team regarding disputed invoices or customer account issues.
• Support the maintenance of customer credit files and account documentation.
• Contribute to achieving collection targets and improving overall accounts receivable performance.

About the role

OPEN INNOVATION INC. is seeking a Collection Assistant to join our Accounting team in Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This role is crucial to maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. As a Collection Assistant, you will support the accounts receivable function by managing customer accounts, pursuing overdue payments, and maintaining accurate records. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in credit control and collections management whilst contributing directly to the financial health of the organisation.
