Job summary

Digital Room in Mandaluyong is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to maintain hosted infrastructure, monitor applications, deploy updates, and troubleshoot outages across AWS environments. You will manage IAM and security groups, run SQL scripts, and work with DataDog/CloudWatch for logs, alerts, and cost monitoring. Strong scripting (BASH, PERL) and SQL skills are required.

Experience with Linux, AWS, and monitoring tools is essential; on-site work in Metro Manila is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience managing applications in the AWS cloud.
• AWS Certified Associate (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps or Developer) preferred.
• Experience with hosted infrastructure and monitoring tools is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Operation of Cloud Infrastructure and Hosted Applications

• Perform hosted infrastructure maintenance (backups, updates, etc.)
• Provision access to hosted infrastructure (IAM, security groups, WAF white/blacklists, etc.)
• Patching and security updates of hosted infrastructure (servers, databases, caches, etc.)

Monitoring of Cloud Infrastructure and Hosted Applications

• Manage log capture, retention and alerting (DataDog, CloudWatch)
• Manage catalog of application metadata (escalation paths, resource dependencies, etc.)
• Monitor cloud infrastructure costs to identify outlier/unexpected spend
• Manage alerts to detect errors and outages for hosted application and infrastructure

Deployment of Applications

• Execute SQL queries, schema and data updates
• Manual installation and updating of third-party application platforms
• Assist with migration of data and file assets for external systems

Troubleshooting of Cloud Infrastructure and Hosted Applications

• Respond to alerts and escalations of outages
• Assist NOC and engineering teams in gathering logs, metrics, etc. when diagnosing issues
• Create and follow-up on action items identified during outage reviews

Technical Skills

• Linux OS and scripting (BASH, PERL, etc.)
• Administration of monitoring and alerting using an enterprise monitoring tool (DataDog, NewRelic, Nagios, etc.)
• SQL (ability to execute SQL scripts, administer MySQL user permissions)

Education and Work Experience

• Two years of professional experience managing applications in the AWS cloud
