Job summary

mylo1 is seeking a Lead Cloud Deployment Engineer to shape scalable AWS infrastructure across development, staging, and production. You will own compute, storage, and networking components, driving reliability and performance.

Responsibilities cover EC2, Auto Scaling, ALB/NLB, RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, and Lambda, with emphasis on security, automation, and cost control. Terraform or CloudFormation are required for IaC.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and managing AWS cloud infrastructure across dev, staging and prod environments.
• Proficiency with EC2, Auto Scaling, ELB/ALB/NLB, S3, CloudFront and RDS (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Strong focus on security, IAM roles and encryption in transit/rest.
• Infrastructure-as-code expertise using Terraform or CloudFormation.

Job Title: Lead Cloud Deployment Engineer
Location: Mumbai, India
Department: Technology / Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Manager / CTO

Job Summary:

1. Compute & Web Server Management :

• Provision and configure EC2 instances for various environments (dev, staging, production).
• Implement Auto Scaling Groups and Launch Templates for dynamic scaling.
• Install and configure Apache/Nginx web servers with optimized settings.
• Ensure high availability using multi-AZ deployments and health checks.

2. Load Balancing & Traffic Distribution :

• Set up and manage Elastic Load Balancers (ALB/NLB) for fault tolerance and traffic routing.
• Configure listener rules, target groups, and SSL termination.
• Monitor load balancer metrics and optimize routing policies.

3. Database Management (RDS) :

• Deploy and manage Amazon RDS instances (PostgreSQL) with failover.
• Implement automated backups and performance tuning.
• Secure database access using IAM roles and security groups.

4. Storage & Content Delivery

• Manage S3 buckets for static content, backups, and application data.
• Set lifecycle policies for archival and cost control.
• Integrate CloudFront for global content delivery and caching.
• Configure custom domains, SSL certificates, and cache behaviors.

5. Serverless Architecture (Lambda) :

• Deploy Lambda functions for automation, backend logic, and event-driven tasks.
• Integrate Lambda with S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and other AWS services.
• Optimize function performance and manage concurrency limits.

6. Cost Optimization & Monitoring :

• Analyze usage patterns and implement Reserved Instances or Savings Plans.
• Use AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets to track and forecast expenses.
• Identify idle resources and enforce tagging policies for accountability.
• Implement CloudWatch and CloudTrail for logging, monitoring, and auditing.

7. Security & Compliance

• Apply IAM roles and policies for least-privilege access.
• Configure security groups and encryption for data at rest and in transit inside cloud.
• Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.

8. Automation

• Maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
