Job summary

MediCard Phils., Inc. is seeking assertive, dynamic and energetic nursing staff to assist doctors and nurses and provide quality care to patients across clinics nationwide.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, initial history, maintaining readiness of examination rooms, ensuring supplies, and coordinating with departments for endorsements. The ideal candidate is a BS Nursing graduate with healthcare experience, good communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • BS Nursing or equivalent healthcare education is required.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred (6 months).
  • Good communication skills and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance and service to patients.
  • Takes vital signs and initial history.
  • Ensures supplies are available in examination rooms.
  • Oversees cleanliness of consultation rooms and linens.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinates with other departments for endorsements and verification.
  • Issues approvals to diagnostic requests per guidelines.
  • Keeps and updates medical records for patients.
  • Prepares and submits doctor procedure fees and reports.
  • Possibly renders overtime as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

It also operates 16 MediCard free-standing clinics that provide services at par with those offered by hospitals minus the confinement. MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy: Expected to perform, provide assistance to doctors and nurses, attends and provides quality care to patient needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides assistance and service to patients.
  • Taking vital signs, initial history taking.
  • Daily inspects consultation rooms for availability of supplies essential to doctor’s examination such as cotton, alcohol, speculums for OB-Gyne among others.
  • Oversees cleanliness of consultation rooms including linens.
  • Ensures and monitors sufficient inventory of supplies.
  • Coordinates with other department for endorsement and verification as needed.
  • Issues approval to diagnostic requests as appropriate based on our approval guidelines prior to availment.
  • Handles keeping and updating of medical records of each patient.
  • Prepares and submits timely reports and doctor’s procedure fees.
  • To render overtime after regular working hours even during non-working days due to workload.
  • Performs other related tasks assigned by Supervisor as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Graduate of BS Nursing or related medical allied courses
  • Experience: Preferably with 6 months experience in healthcare if not a BS Nursing graduate
  • Other Skills: Average verbal and written communications, with initiative, organized and service- oriented.
