Job summary

Plan International Pilipinas seeks a Communications and Advocacy Officer to lead the communications strategy for the Climate Resilience Measurement for Communities (CRMC) project. You will develop IEC materials and manage digital channels while coordinating with CAC unit and project team.

The role involves capacity building for youth advocates, content creation for diverse channels, and contributing to advocacy and influencing activities. Based in Makati with field work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in development communication, mass communication, public administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in communications, including social media and web writing.
• Experience working with LGUs and NGAs.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms and new technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in advocacy campaigns.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Development sector experience in a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and execute the communications plan for the project.
• Digital engagement as focal for social media and digital strategy.
• Capacity building for youth advocates to communicate climate advocacy effectively.
• Content development for IEC materials across channels.
• Manage Plan International Pilipinas website and social media platforms.
• Lead development of Annual Advocacy and Influencing Plan and guide project team.
• Assist with emergency response activities in communities as needed.
