Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Client Onboarding Associate to lead complex onboarding and lifecycle events for institutional clients. You will coordinate stakeholders, track milestones, and drive controlled launches while maintaining rigorous risk controls.

You will identify risks early, document accurately, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen the client experience across global onboarding partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial products and how they impact onboarding and post-launch operations.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle concepts from event inception through execution and settlement.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across varying seniority levels.
• Project management capability to handle multiple initiatives from planning through delivery.
• Excellent organization and time management with reliable follow-through on milestones.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with web-based tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain status, decisions and risks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and solutions.
• Experience using digital tools (Python, Tableau, or Alteryx) for process improvement and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Project manage end-to-end onboarding for institutional client mandates.
• Coordinate account lifecycle events like mergers, liquidations, and custody changes.
• Act as primary client contact throughout onboarding and delivery.
• Lead meetings to align scope, timelines, dependencies and next steps.
• Maintain onboarding docs, checklists and project plans for transparency.
• Execute control checkpoints and secure required approvals before launch.
• Apply knowledge to make day-to-day decisions within risk controls.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure operational readiness and new business support.
• Communicate status, risks and issues, escalate when needed.
• Share best practices with global onboarding partners to standardize processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
