• Spot inconsistencies, pre-existing damages, or red flags to prevent fraudulent claims.

A Claims Evaluator (Motor) is responsible for the end-to-end assessment and processing of motor vehicle insurance claims. The role is highly dynamic, requiring a mix of office-based policy evaluation and frequent fieldwork to inspect damaged vehicles at authorized automotive dealerships (casa), independent repair shops (talyer), or accident sites.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree is generally required, preferably in Automotive Technology Mechanical Engineering or a related management field.
• 1 to 2 years of solid experience in the non-life insurance sector as a claims processor.
• Must possess a deep understanding of automotive systems, car components, structural vehicle damage, and body repair techniques (tinsmithing and painting). Familiarity with local market parts pricing is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine incoming claim documents to ensure completeness. In the Philippines, this typically includes the Philippine National Police (PNP) Report or a Notarized Affidavit of Incident, Photos of Damage, the driver’s Professional/Non-Professional License, and the LTO Certificate of Registration with the Official Receipt (OR/CR).
• Verify required claim documents (e.g., PNP report, OR/CR, driver’s license) and confirm policy coverage, validity, and driver authorization.
• Conduct physical inspections at repair shops or accident sites, photograph damages, and ensure the physical damage matches the reported incident.
• Review repair estimates, canvass for competitive parts pricing in the local market, and negotiate labor and material costs with casa or talyer representatives.
