Job summary

CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative is seeking a dedicated claims assistant to receive, print, organize, and distribute claim documents, ensuring approvals follow CASA guidelines. The role includes coordinating evaluated claims for disbursement and forwarding paperwork to Accounting for payment.

The incumbent will also prepare and send claim status communications (pending, denied, ex gratia), process autopay approvals, and maintain the claims system and monitoring sheets.

Responsibilities

• Receive, print, organize, and distribute claim documents; facilitate approvals in accordance with CASA procedures.
• Coordinate evaluated and approved claims for area disbursement; prepare and forward documents to Accounting for payment.
• Prepare and send claim status communications (pending, denied, ex gratia); process autopay approvals and update claims system and monitoring sheets.
• Coordinate with internal departments on claim-related concerns, assist in reconciliation of pending claims, and perform other assigned tasks.
