Job summary

SYSTRA seeks a Civil Team Lead to guide the Civil Team in high-impact design solutions for transportation infrastructure. You will provide technical leadership, oversee project delivery, mentor engineers, and engage with clients across local and international teams.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in civil design within transportation, strong English communication, and hands-on CAD/C3D experience. This on-site role offers opportunity for multidisciplinary collaboration and career growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience in civil design for roads, highways, terminals, drainage systems, and civil structures within transportation and land development projects.
• Hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with STAAD.Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and QGIS is a strong advantage.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for client interfacing and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define civil design philosophies, update discipline specifications, and serve as the core technical subject matter expert for engineers and drafters.
• Oversee strict implementation of QA/QC protocols to ensure all civil deliverables meet safety, functionality, and regulatory code requirements
• Establish workload schedules, track project progress, monitor performance indicators, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead, guide, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to support continuous professional development and strong team cohesion.
• Lead interdisciplinary design reviews and liaise directly with clients and external specialists to gather design inputs and align deliverables.
• Identify scope adjustments, issue design trend/change notices, and conduct site inspections as required by project milestones.

Context

The Civil Team Lead will lead the Civil Team in delivering high-impact design solutions for complex transportation and land development infrastructure projects. This role combines technical leadership, project delivery oversight, team development, and client engagement, with opportunities to collaborate across local and international teams. It is well suited for a proactive and experienced civil engineering professional who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about mentoring teams and delivering excellent project outcomes.

Missions/Main Duties

• Define civil design philosophies, update discipline specifications, and serve as the core technical subject matter expert for engineers and drafters.
• Oversee strict implementation of QA/QC protocols to ensure all civil deliverables meet safety, functionality, and regulatory code requirements

• IIdentify scope adjustments, issue design trend/change notices, and conduct site inspections as required by project milestones.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required to support design development and project delivery.

Profile/Skills

• Licensed Civil Engineer with at least 10+ years of experience in civil design for roads, highways, terminals, drainage systems, and civil structures within transportation and land development projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant local and international civil design codes and standards, such as AASHTO, ASTM, and DPWH-DGCS.
• Hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with structural, hydrological, or geospatial software (STAAD.Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, QGIS) is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a small team of design engineers in a multidisciplinary environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing civil projects through the complete lifecycle, from conceptual vision to detailed design.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for client interfacing and technical reporting.
