Job Description
Position: On-site - Guimaras 1-3 Yrs Exp Bachelor Full-time.
ACivil Engineer for Substations & Transmission Lines designs, analyzes, and manages the physical infrastructure (foundations, towers, buildings, site prep) for high-voltage power systems, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with standards, working closely with electrical engineers for seamless integration of components like towers, bus structures, and switchyard foundations. Their role involves site surveys, structural analysis, environmental impact assessment, and coordinating construction, requiring skills in CAD software and knowledge of power industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Site & Feasibility: Conduct surveys, assess environmental factors (seismic, wind, flood), and choose optimal locations.
- Design & Analysis: Prepare drawings, perform structural analysis for towers, supports, foundations; design for erosion/flooding mitigation.
- Coordination: Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and government agencies.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet IEEE, IEC, local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Construction Oversight: Oversee site prep, civil works, and contractor activities.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, technical documents, and review contractor submissions.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Licensed Civil Engineer (Philippines).
- Expertise: Structural analysis, power system standards, site preparation, environmental compliance.
- Soft Skills: Communication, problem-solving, project coordination.
