Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate quantity take-offs and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, cost plans, and procurement schedules for civil and MEP packages.
- Evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotations and conduct cost comparisons and negotiations.
- Monitor and control project budgets, identifying potential cost variances or risks.
- Track and manage change orders, variations, and update cost reports accordingly.
- Conduct site inspections to verify actual quantities and validate subcontractor progress billing.
- Support contract administration tasks such as progress claims, final accounts, and dispute resolution.
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and MEP coordinators to ensure scope alignment and accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, contract terms, and local building codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in both civil and MEP quantity surveying roles.
- Strong understanding of construction costing, contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC), and project budgeting.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying or estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostOS, Planswift).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
