Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil Engineer in Manila to lead complete civil engineering design for projects, coordinating across disciplines with project leads and producing quality drawings under senior engineer supervision.

The role requires 4–7 years of relevant highway design experience using Civil 3D, 12D, Open Roads, MX or similar tools, with Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel. Strong knowledge of design standards and safety in design is expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer.
• 4-7 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with Highway geometric design using Civil 3D, 12D, Open Roads, MX or similar.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local road/civil design standards.
• Understanding of safety in design practices with emphasis on road safety outcomes.
• Attention to detail and clarity of documentation.
• Enthusiastic, assertive and decisive in design decisions.
• Commitment to delivering quality work on time and within cost.
• Flexibility to meet project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complete civil engineering design requirement of the project.
• Coordinate efforts between disciplines and work closely with the Project Team Lead or Project Manager.
• Develop quality design documentation under the direction/review of a senior/principal civil engineer or designer.
• Accountable for projects including planning, analysis, design and production of engineering drawings.
• Keeps abreast of new developments and methods relevant to area of expertise.
• Adheres to prescribed Design Standards and Design Quality Procedures.
• Conscientiously work towards the group’s objectives and adhere to the company’s policy.
• Perform tasks assigned by Discipline Lead/Transport Team Manager/Regional Team Executive in line with experience and qualifications.
