Overview

As a CI Project Manager you will oversee and lead several initiatives focused on improving and streamlining finance processes in the shared service context, lead automation of projects within finance from inception until completion, conduct process analysis to capture the challenges and pain‑points directly impacting the finance process and agree on the solution design alongside the finance and business operations counterparts, develop standard finance processes, policies, and methodologies applying Lean principles. You will also be responsible for change and stakeholder management to ensure project support. You will directly report to the Continuous Improvement Lead under FASS.

What You’ll Do (your Mission)

• Direct and manage project delivery from start to end
• Define project scope, timeline, deliverables and project delivery success criteria
• Conduct a regular cadence and communication to stakeholders on project progress, risks and issues
• Streamline finance processes, drive efficiency, and deliver strategic initiatives to the business
• Provide governance and expert guidance in the implementation of finance processes by operations
• Establish and maintain a framework that measures finance processes and quantifies improvement results
• Develop a strong understanding of the business operations within the organization and the interdependencies across business functions
• Decisiveness - makes clear-cut decisions without unnecessary delay, even in tough situations
• Proactively develop customer relationships by listening to and understanding the customer (internal & external)
• Conduct a reasonableness check on financial results and other quantitative information (i.e., do the numbers make sense)
• Strong ability to challenge the status quo

Educational Background

• A graduate degree in Accounting/Business educational background, with good accounting knowledge.

Professional Experience

• Solid experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean/Operational Excellence preferably in a Financial SSC (at least 2-3 years)
• At least 5-7 year experience in handling various finance processes (AR, AP, R2R, FP&A or Tax)
• Experience in leading a Finance Project
• Strong skills in project management, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in using finance software (i.e., Oracle)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Effective communication with relevant stakeholders / counterparts
• Ability to articulate thoughts/ideas/issues in an effective manner to drive results
• Time management and prioritization to manage conflicting priorities and business outcomes
• Lean Six-sigma trained/certified is a plus
• PMP trained/certified is a plus
