Job summary

A local beverage company in Manila is looking for a translator to support business operations. The role requires fluency in Tagalog, English, and Chinese, with responsibilities including document translation and proofreading. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and at least 2-3 years of experience. This position demands an ability to work under pressure while ensuring high-quality translations.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Tagalog, English & Chinese.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

• Translate and interpret documents from Filipino or English to Chinese and vice versa.
• Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
• Provide administrative support and collaborate with team members.
• Edit translated versions for accuracy and style.
• Maintain cultural sensitivity in translation between languages.
• Ensure accurate translation between Simplified/Traditional Chinese and English/Filipino.
• Proofread and revise translated materials to reflect intended meaning.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills within the team.
• Collaborate with team members to align with project goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• As communicators/ translator for business meetings, daily working routines etc.
• Provide confidential and administrative support.
• Reading the original document and translating it.
• Editing translated versions
• Being sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during the translation process
• Translate and interpret documents and other written materials from Filipino or English to Chinese and vice versa.
• Must be able to translate simplified Chinese to English or in Filipino (Traditional Chinese to English or in Tagalog); and English or in Filipino to Simplified Chinese (English or in Tagalog to Traditional Chinese Translation).
• Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials to accurately reflect the meaning in the desired language.
• Continuously improve and update knowledge and skills within the team, in line with industry regulation.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• 1. Bachelor’s Degree.
• 2. Must be fluent in Tagalog, English & Chinese.

Experience Requirements

• 1. At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
