Mactan Rock Industries, Inc. is seeking a licensed Chemical Engineer to join its on-site team in the Philippines.
The role focuses on monitoring and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring compliance with standards in water treatment and related operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, a valid RChE license, and hands-on experience in water treatment, RO, desalination, and related systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Must be a Licensed Chemical Engineer (RChE), preferably with relevant professional experience.
Preferably with experience in chemical manufacturing, water treatment, wastewater treatment, desalination, or industrial chemical processes.
Knowledgeable in chemical processing, water chemistry, chemical handling, and laboratory procedures.
Familiar with RO (Reverse Osmosis), water clarification, filtration, and other water treatment processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), environmental regulations, and chemical safety.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Willing to work on-site and conduct field inspections or plant operations when required.
Monitor and evaluate chemical processes and production activities to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
Develop, improve, and optimize chemical processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct analysis and evaluation of raw materials, chemicals, finished products, and process parameters.
Monitor chemical dosage, concentration, preparation, and application in water treatment and related operations.
Assist in the operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of water treatment, desalination, RO, clarification, and filtration systems.
Prepare and review process specifications, operating procedures, technical reports, and other engineering documents.
Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.
Investigate process deviations, quality issues, and operational problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct technical assessments and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and chemical applications.
Coordinate with Production, Laboratory, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control and process control procedures.
Monitor compliance with company policies, ISO requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct inspections, testing, and validation of chemical processes and equipment as necessary.
Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other personnel regarding chemical processes and safe chemical handling.
Maintain accurate records of chemical consumption, process parameters, test results, production data, and other relevant information.
Participate in research and development activities for new products, chemical formulations, and process improvements.
Assist in conducting training and orientation on chemical handling, process operations, and safety procedures.
Perform other related engineering duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
