Job Description
Design and develop chemical processes:
- Design and develop new chemical processes for the production of various products, such as pharmaceuticals, fuels, and materials.
- Conduct research and development activities to improve existing processes and develop innovative solutions.
- Optimize chemical processes for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Solve complex engineering problems:
- Apply engineering principles and problem-solving skills to address challenges in areas such as process design, equipment selection, and plant operations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to improve process performance and efficiency.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict and optimize process behavior.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance:
- Design and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safe operation of chemical plants.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Strong foundation in chemical engineering principles:
- Possess a strong understanding of core chemical engineering concepts, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, and chemical reaction engineering.
- Knowledge of process design, control, and optimization techniques.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Technical proficiency:
- Proficiency in using chemical engineering software tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB) for process simulation, data analysis, and design.
- Knowledge of computer‑aided design (CAD) software for process flow diagrams and equipment design.
