Job summary

IKEA Philippines is seeking a Kitchen Associate to prepare and cook meals, ensure food safety, and support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced retail setting. Qualifications

• Sales-driven and passionate about food and people.
• Experience in food management and industry; willingness to learn new skills.
• Enjoy working in a vibrant fast-paced retail environment.
• Customer-focused and service-minded with the ability to influence and collaborate.
• Flexible and open to change; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• At least 5 years of experience as a line cook or similar in restaurant or food service.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles, and cross-contamination prevention.
• Understanding of proper food storage, temperature control, FIFO/FEFO, and standard recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals according to approved recipes and production plans.
• Maintain consistent quality, taste, and portion size.
• Apply knowledge of different cuisines to create food experiences.
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient-based decisions.
• Minimize food waste through planning and portion control.
• Ensure mise en place is completed before service.
• Maintain food presentation and service standards.
• Support kitchen operations and equipment safety.
