Job summary

Ventra Health is seeking a Charge Entry Specialist to input, verify, and correct data for medical billing and claims processing. You will handle manual charge entries, rebilling unbilled claims, and issue resolution across client systems, with emphasis on data integrity and timely submission.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year in medical billing, knowledge of medical terminology and third-party reimbursement, and strong Excel, Outlook, and data entry skills in a

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of medical billing experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding.
Knowledge of third-party billing and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

Input charges manually as received and verify accuracy.
Maintain rebilling of unbilled claims.
Work HCFA Review per specifications.
Correct errors after posting.
Work charge posting exceptions.
Research time of service and charge logs.
Research, entry, and mapping of referring physicians.
Request missing reports from multiple contacts and/or access remote systems for missing information.
Monitor internal AIMS site for potential charge issues with the client.
