Job summary

Globe Telecom is seeking a Lead Technical Platform Strategist to bridge business strategy and engineering execution. You will drive platform rationalization, manage technical debt, and govern CapEx spend on IT systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT Development teams, oversee platform lifecycle, and champion modernization using AI, cloud services, and modern architectures to improve overall ecosystem efficiency.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of modern software development and AI/ML integration.
• Hands-on familiarity with telecom and cloud enterprise platforms such as BSS, Netcracker, MYCOM OSI, AWS and GCP.
• Strong IT financial management, CapEx governance, and cost-benefit analysis for platform rationalization.

Responsibilities

• Platform Lifecycle & Governance: Oversee end-to-end platform lifecycle, tracking systems for enhancement, integration, replacement, or retirement to maximize business value and reduce technical debt.
• Technical Representation: Represent the business in all technical discussions, assessing opportunities to augment, rationalize, and streamline core software platforms.
• Roadmap & Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture and IT Development teams on integration and replacement roadmaps, while coordinating within Broadband for platform requirements.
• Financial & Spend Control: Track Non-Network CapEx spend against capability build projects and maintain governance over technology expenditures.
• Operational Performance & Continuity: Maintain visibility on IT platform performance and communicate system issues to preserve business continuity.
• Technology Modernization: Evaluate AI tools, modern programming architectures, and cloud services to enhance ecosystem efficiency.

• Financial & Spend Control: Track Non-Network CapEx spend against capability build projects and maintain continuous governance over technology expenditures.


• Operational Performance & Continuity: Maintain complete visibility on IT platform performance (uptime, downtime, and resolution timelines) and communicate system issues in a timely manner to preserve business continuity.


• Technology Modernization: Evaluate and incorporate AI tools, modern programming architectures, and cloud services to enhance overall ecosystem efficiency.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Deep Technical Background: Solid understanding of modern software development, programming concepts, and applied AI/ML integration.


• Platform & Ecosystem Knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with telecom and cloud enterprise platforms, specifically BSS, Netcracker, MYCOM OSI, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of IT financial management, project-level CapEx governance, and cost-benefit analysis for platform rationalization (a major plus).


• Strategic & Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical capabilities to translate complex technical constraints into business risks and actionable strategic plans.


• Communication: Proven ability to interface seamlessly between technical development leads, enterprise architects, and non-technical business stakeholders.
