Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking a Welder to fabricate and repair metal components in the Philippines. You will work under supervision, reading layouts and blueprints, and using brazing and arc/gas welding equipment.

Requires NC I certification, 3+ years welding experience, and ability to pass AWS qualifications. Strong English and basic MS Office skills are needed. The role involves working in a challenging environment with safety protocols and PPE; location is in Subic, Zambales.

Qualifications

• One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Must provide copy of certificates.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Host Nation Driver’s license is required
• Must be Philippines citizen.
• Must have valid welder’s certification (National Certificate (NC) I )
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in various types of welding and the use of welding tools or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must be a certified welder.
• Must be able to pass & maintain AWS Welding Code Certifications as required.
• Intermediate ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets reports and documents.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, mobile homes, motors and generators, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
• Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes, performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts, positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
• May locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch, may perform repairs only and be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.
