Job Description

TheCCTV Installerassists in the installation, basic setup, and routine maintenance of CCTV and surveillance systems under the supervision of a Senior CCTV Installer or Supervisor. The role is focused on learning hands‑on technical skills, supporting installation activities, and ensuring work is performed safely and according to company standards. The Junior CCTV Installer does not lead projects and performs tasks as assigned by senior technical staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in mounting and positioning CCTV cameras according to approved layouts


• Support cable pulling, routing, and dressing for UTP, coaxial, and power cables


• Assist in installing camera brackets, conduits, and basic fixtures


• Help set up DVR/NVR units, monitors, and power supplies

Basic Configuration

• Assist in connecting cameras to DVR/NVR systems


• Support basic camera configuration such as naming, orientation, and image adjustment


• Perform basic functionality testing to confirm live view and recording

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist in identifying simple issues such as loose cables, power interruptions, or damaged connectors


• Perform basic preventive maintenance including cleaning cameras and checking connections


• Escalate complex technical or network‑related issues to senior installers


• Assist in labeling cables, cameras, and equipment


• Help update basic installation checklists and service reports


• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools and materials

Safety & Compliance

• Follow electrical, network, and workplace safety procedures


• Use tools and equipment properly and responsibly


• Comply with company policies and site‑specific safety requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Technical or vocational training in Electronics, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
