Job summary

COM PARTS COMPUTER SALES is seeking a CCTV and computer technician to install, configure, maintain and repair CCTV systems, computers and network devices. The role involves on-site visits to ensure systems are installed and operational, with documentation of service reports.

The ideal candidate should have a related technical education, be willing to travel, and be ready to work weekends or extended hours when required. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Information Technology, Computer Technology, Electronics, Electrical or a related course.
• Technical/vocational graduates with experience may be considered.
• Experience in CCTV installation and computer troubleshooting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ocular inspection and install, configure, troubleshoot CCTV systems and related devices.
• Assemble and configure desktop computers and install necessary software.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and replace defective components.
• Travel to customer sites for ocular, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain proper documentation and prepare service reports on-site.
• Complete installation and service jobs correctly and within schedule.
• Minimize repeat service calls by accurate diagnosis and following safety procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.

About the role

The CCTV and COMPUTER TECHNICIAN is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of CCTV surveillance systems, computers, networks and related IT equipment. The technician will conduct on-site service calls and ensure that systems are properly installed, operational and maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ocular inspection, install, configure troubleshoot CCTV System and related devices
• Assemble, Configure desktop computer and install necessary software applications
• Diagnose, trouble shoot and replace defective components
• Travel to customer sites for ocular, installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair
• Maintain proper documentation and prepare service report related to technical issues on-site
• Complete installation and service jobs correctly and within the required schedule
• Minimize repeat service calls by properly diagnosing, resolving technical problem and following standard safety procedures
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers

About you

• Graduate of Information Technology, Computer Technology, Electronics, Electrical or a related course
• Technical / vocational graduates with experience may also be considered
• Experience in CCTV installation and computer troubleshooting is an advantage
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license is an advantage
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays or extended hours when required
• Willing to travel to project sites
• Good communication and customer-service skill
