Job summary

SAN YANG INTERTRADE CORP is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Manila to develop and implement purchasing strategies, manage daily activities, and supervise staff. The role focuses on supplier relations, contract negotiations, and maintaining records to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of people management and category management experience, with strong negotiation and analytical skills and familiarity with ERP/procurement software.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop purchasing strategies and implement them across the organization.
• Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks.
• Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Ensure all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
• Train new employees in the purchasing process.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Research potential vendors and evaluate offers from suppliers.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
