Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a reliable cashier/payments specialist to ensure timely processing of customer payments for delivery and pickup services. You will reconcile daily collections and safeguard funds while supporting branch operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Customer Service to resolve transaction issues, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with financial controls. Flexibility for shifts and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years experience in cashiering, cash handling, or payments.
• Knowledge of cash management and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with collections, remittances, and shipment transactions is a plus.

Here’s the difference you’ll make

In this role, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer payments and company collections for delivery and pickup transactions. You’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate records, reconciling daily collections, and safeguarding company funds while ensuring a smooth customer experience.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to resolve transaction concerns, maintain proper shipment documentation, and support efficient branch operations in line with company policies and financial controls.

What you’ll do

Cashiering & Payment Processing

• Receive and process customer payments for delivery, pickup, freight, and related logistics services.
• Issue official receipts, invoices, and other payment acknowledgments.
• Accurately encode and record cash and non-cash transactions in designated systems.
• Verify shipment, pickup, delivery, and supporting documents before processing transactions.

Collections & Reconciliation

• Reconcile daily collections against recorded transactions and prepare end-of-day cash balancing reports.
• Facilitate timely remittance of collections to authorized banks or company-designated custodians.
• Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with customers and operations teams on payment concerns.
• Identify and report cash shortages, overages, suspicious transactions, and system discrepancies.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of receipts, remittances, waybills, Proof of Delivery (PODs), and other operational documents.
• Validate shipment details and supporting documents for compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Safeguard cash collections, financial documents, and accountable forms.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and operational standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection and transaction reports as required.

Customer Service & Operational Support

• Assist customers with inquiries on rates, payments, shipment status, delivery schedules, and pickup transactions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to resolve transaction discrepancies and shipment concerns.
• Support parcel acceptance, shipment release, and pickup processing when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly cashiering area.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

You’ll thrive in this role if you…

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have at least 1–2 years of experience in cashiering, cash handling, customer service, logistics, or courier operations.
• Have knowledge of cash management, payment processing, and basic accounting principles.
• Have experience handling collections, remittances, delivery, or pickup transactions; logistics experience is an advantage.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Are comfortable handling cash, credit card, online, and other payment methods.Have strong numerical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Are knowledgeable in shipment documentation, waybills, and Proof of Delivery (POD) records.
• Have strong customer service and communication skills when dealing with customers, drivers, riders, and clients.
• Can reconcile collections, prepare reports, and identify discrepancies accurately.
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, accountability, and trustworthiness in handling company funds.
• Are willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
