About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join the team at ValueHome Furniture Trading in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our point of sale. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role is essential to our retail operations, ensuring smooth checkout processes and contributing to a positive shopping experience for every customer who visits our store.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including cash, card and digital payments.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.

• Handle cash, cheques and vouchers with accuracy, reconciling the till at the end of each shift.

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring it is well-stocked with receipts, bags and other necessary supplies.

• Scan products accurately, apply discounts where applicable and process refunds or exchanges following company procedures.

• Follow all security and loss prevention protocols to protect company assets and prevent fraud.

• Assist customers with product information and make recommendations when appropriate.

• Support the wider retail team by assisting with stock replenishment, shelf displays and store cleanliness when required.

• Report any discrepancies, damaged products or customer concerns to the store supervisor or manager.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
