Job description

• A cashier is responsible for handling transactions at a retail or service establishment. Their primary duties include:
• Processing Transactions: Operate cash registers to scan items, process payments (cash, credit/debit card, or mobile payment), and issue receipts.
• Customer Service: Greet customers, provide assistance, and answer questions regarding products, services, or promotions.
• Maintaining Cash Drawer: Ensure accurate counting of cash, handling change, and balancing the cash register at the start and end of shifts.
• Handling Returns/Exchanges: Process customer returns, exchanges, or refunds according to store policies.
• Stocking and Organizing: May assist in stocking shelves or maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
• Monitoring Transactions: Identify and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity.
