Responsibilities

• A cashier is responsible for handling transactions, assisting customers with purchases, and ensuring the smooth operation of the checkout process in retail, grocery stores, restaurants, or other establishments.
• Process Transactions: Scan items, handle cash, credit, or debit card payments, and provide accurate change to customers.
• Customer Service: Greet customers, answer inquiries, and address concerns to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area organized and clean, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Product Knowledge: Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information when necessary.
• Balance Cash Drawer: Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Promotions and Discounts: Apply promotional codes, discounts, and loyalty program benefits accurately during checkout.

Qualifications
