MicroSourcing is hiring a Cash Application Analyst I to handle payment posting and reconciliation remotely with night shifts from the Philippines. You will ensure accurate application of payments from multiple channels and maintain AR records with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in cash application or AR processing.
• Strong AR mechanics: invoices, debits, credits, unapplied cash.
• Familiar with SOX controls and SLAs.
• Experience using ERP or financial systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments from ACH, wires, checks, cards, and remittances into ERP.
• Investigate unapplied/short-paid/misapplied cash; contact partners for missing remittance advice.
• Perform daily cash balancing and submit routine adjustments.
• Ensure SOX-compliant controls and proper documentation for audits.
• Respond to Billing/Collections/Finance queries within SLAs.
• Support month-end close and AR operations as needed.

Your role

As a Cash Application Analyst I, You Will

• Payment Processing & Posting: Accurately apply customer payments from ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards, and lockbox electronic remittance files into the ERP system.
• Discrepancy Research & Resolution: Investigate unapplied, short-paid, or misapplied cash entries by auditing invoices, payment records, and customer accounts; contact internal/external partners for missing remittance advice.
• Daily Reconciliation & Adjustments: Perform daily cash balancing activities against bank portal records and submit routine account adjustments for approval.
• SOX Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to established SOX internal controls, accounting standards, and documentation requirements to ensure audit readiness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Respond to routine queries from Billing, Collections, and Finance teams within defined SLA expectations.
• Month-End & Team Support: Complete month-end close reconciliation deadlines and provide backup support across AR operations.

Non-negotiables

What You Need:

• Experience: 1+ years of direct experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or financial transaction processing.
• Core AR Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accounts receivable mechanics (invoices, debits, credits, unapplied cash, and short-pays).
• Software Proficiency: Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, basic formulas like SUM, VLOOKUP).
• Research & Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to trace payment discrepancies, reconcile incomplete remittances, and resolve ledger mismatches.
• Internal Controls & SLAs: Familiarity with accounting controls, SOX compliance guidelines, and maintaining high processing speed and accuracy under strict timelines.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Practical experience with financial systems and ERPs (e.g., Oracle Cloud Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains, or Bill.com).
• Direct experience working in healthcare, SaaS/technology, or high-volume transaction industries.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Experience utilizing online banking portals and automated electronic payment processing platforms.
