Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Calibration Technician to perform on-site calibration and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to work as part of a team, and a proactive approach to maintaining calibration records and supporting audits. You will manage documentation, generate Calibration Certificates, and coordinate with colleagues and customers to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Engineering.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Able to start immediately or on short notice.
• Own transportation with driving license.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Hardworking, meticulous, and able to work independently.
• Good at basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on calibration on-site with basic repair skills and issue Calibration Certificates.
• Participate in training to improve calibration skills.
• Maintain ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality systems at the laboratory.
• Verify, calibrate, adjust, and test equipment per calibration procedures.
• Ensure equipment calibration meets specifications and standards.
• Support internal/external audits and document calibration processes.
• Monitor effectiveness of calibration procedures and deadlines.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping at workstation.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To perform hands-on calibration of equipment on-site with basic repair skills and eventual issuance of Calibration Certificate.
• To participate in training program to improve the calibration skills and knowledge.
• To maintain and implementation of laboratory quality system comply with ISO IEC 17025 and ISO 9001
• Performing thorough equipment verification, calibration, adjustment & test/repair of equipment as per laboratory calibration procedures.
• Ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated as per specifications and standards
• To participate in the internal and/or external audit.
• Administering and monitoring effectiveness of calibration procedures
• Ensuring completion of tasks as per assigned deadlines.
• Maintaining and updating a record of all documentations of the calibration process comply ISO 17025 & ISO 9001 requirements
• To participate in Proficiency Testing, Inter-Laboratory and Internal Quality Check program.
• Proficiency computer skills on Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint for capturing and processing measurement data.

• Organize and good planning skills to streamline the work process
• Good accountability and responsibility towards work.
• Able to perform some Overtime when required
• Managing good housekeeping at workstation/areas by implementing and maintaining 5S activities.

• To assist in the development and extension of new calibration scope
• To assist immediate superior to achieve team's KPI

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Engineering or equivalent is an advantage
• Two (2) years relevant experience preferred
• Able to start work immediately or on short notice is preferred
• Possess own transport with valid driving license
• Excellent communication skills priority in English (both verbal and written)
• Knowledge in ISO 17025 standard will be an advantage
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Hardworking, meticulous, team player and able to work independently
