A leading cabinetry firm in Cebu City seeks a design professional to conduct site visits and handle drafting for cabinet designs. Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree.
• Preferably with 1 year experience in Modular Cabinets or Furniture.
• Must have experience as an Auto CAD operator.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D; SketchUp or similar.
• Knowledge in making cutting lists and BOMs.
• Willing to field-work if necessary.
• Team player, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime and handle pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients and engineers.
• Prepare rough sketches for initial cabinet designs.
• Create BOM and optimize materials.
• Create cutting lists for quotations or awarded projects and BOMs.
• Optimize materials and layouts (Max Cut).
• Ensure cabinet designs follow construction standards and raise issues if not.
• Identify design issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
• Learn SPAZIO and use it for quotations.
• Attend PKM project kickoff meetings.
• Coordinate with team to resolve issues and perform tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits - may have to coordinate with clients, architects or engineers on site for product structural requirements or site issues
• Do any drafting needed for any projects (designing, design layout, detailed drawings, shop drawing or rendering)
• Prepare rough sketches for initial designs on cabinets and have this reviewed by the supervisor
• Makes cutting list for quotation or for awarded projects
• Creates BOM (Bill of materials)
• Creates Optimization of materials or Max cut
• Ensures that the design of cabinets follows standard construction. Should bring this up to the team if there’s something that didn’t follow the standard or will be structurally unsound.
• Identify potential structural or design issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Learning SPAZIO and using this whenever possible for quotation.
• Attends Project kick off (PKM) meetings
• Coordinates, clarify and collaborate with team for any issues concerning work
• Does whatever the supervisor or manager assigns him

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree
• Accepts Fresh Graduates
• Preferably with 1 year experience in Modular Cabinets or Furniture
• Must have experience as an Auto CAD operator, or knowledgeable in Auto CAD 2D and 3D, SKETCH UP or other related programs or has a background in architecture / interior designing, or a position of similar tasks and responsibilities.
• Knowledgeable in making Cutting list, Bill of Materials and similar tasks.
• Must be willing to do field work of equivalent task if necessary.
• Must be a team player and can work with minimum supervision required
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Can work well under pressure
