Job summary

TOA Global in Manila is seeking an analytical CAAS Energy Associate to join our Energy team. You will apply US GAAP principles to full-cycle outsourced accounting for international energy clients, including JIB, revenue tasks, and month-end close.

Operating onsite on a US-aligned night shift, you will collaborate with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality advisory, sub-ledger management, and inter-company reporting while building deep technical expertise in Oil & Gas accounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of solid accounting and analysis experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with Oil & Gas accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy or Financial Management; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full-cycle accounting engagements, including AP/AR/GL operations.
• Support Oil & Gas accounting workflows (JIB, revenue, non-operated assets).
• Monitor month-end close procedures and compile inter-company reporting.
• Assist with audit data and external audits during annual reviews.
• Communicate with international clients to gather data and resolve inquiries.
• Engage in firm-wide training and professional development.

We are seeking an analytical, growth-oriented CAAS Energy Associate (Client Accounting and Advisory Services) to join our Energy team in Manila. In this specialized role, you will apply fundamental US GAAP principles while building deep technical expertise in Oil & Gas Accounting-handling full-cycle outsourced accounting functions, revenue tasks, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), and non-operated property transactions. Operating onsite on a US-aligned night shift, you will work under the supervision of industry professionals to deliver high-quality advisory, sub-ledger management, and month-end closing support for international energy clients.

Your Impact

• Outsourced Accounting & Engagement Management: Participate directly in client engagements to develop a full understanding of the CAAS lifecycle while handling full-cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.
• Oil & Gas Technical Accounting: Assist with specialized energy sector workflows, including Joint Interest Billing (JIB), monthly revenue distribution, recording non-operated Oil & Gas transactions, and tracking daily receipts and revenue intake schedules.
• Month-End Close & Reconciliations: Monitor and ensure all monthly transactions are recorded accurately, assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, execute account reconciliations, and compile inter-company reporting.
• Audit & Data Analysis: Identify, measure, and analyze financial dataset trends while preparing supporting schedules to assist external auditors during annual review cycles.
• Client Relationship Building: Proactively communicate with international clients to build trust-based relationships, gather critical accounting data, and resolve operational inquiries in an organized, efficient manner.
• Continuous Professional Development: Engage in firm-wide technical training, goal-setting processes, and professional development programs throughout the year to expand your accounting and advisory capabilities.

What You Bring

• The Experience: Minimum 2 years of solid accounting and analysis experience, demonstrating a clear progression in assignment scope, complexity, and engagement variety.
• Technical Mastery: Solid understanding of US GAAP. Direct familiarity or strong eagerness to specialize in Oil & Gas accounting methods (JIB, revenue accounting, non-operated assets) is a huge advantage.
• Software Competency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel for financial data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and reporting.
• Professional Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, excellent time management, and a self-motivated work ethic capable of hitting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Capabilities: Exceptional written and oral English communication skills to interact professionally and productively with cross-functional teams and international clients.
• Credentials: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy or Financial Management. A CPA license or CPA eligibility is preferred.
