As an Accounting Associate, you will join a high-growth consulting environment that values curiosity and continuous learning. This role is designed for a versatile professional ready to handle a diverse range of internal and client-facing functions. You will act as a guardian of financial integrity, ensuring that US GAAP reporting requirements are met while actively seeking ways to leverage automation to improve existing procedures.

Your Impact

GAAP Compliance & Reporting: Support the monthly and quarterly financial statement process by maintaining and updating assigned working papers. Ensure all documentation is prepared in strict accordance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements and internal company policies.

Process Innovation: Actively identify opportunities to create or improve existing accounting procedures. Champion the use of automation tools to drive efficiency across the department and the wider consulting firm.

Audit & Compliance Support: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring the timely resolution of audit requests and questions to maintain the firm's professional standing.

Collaborative Mentorship: Work closely with managers to review and approve specific journal entries while providing coaching and training to junior team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Cross-Functional Projects: Support the tax team and other departments with ad-hoc projects, including the compilation of internal financial schedules and specialized reporting as needed.

What You Bring
The Experience:

3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Preference is given to candidates with a background in Start-ups, FinTech, or Lending. Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm is a significant advantage.

Highly tech-savvy and proficient with advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.). Practical familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, or WDesk is highly preferred.

The Credentials:
