Job summary

TOA Global in Cebu, Philippines, onsite, full-time, offers a CAAS Energy Associate role supporting a US-based CPA firm. You will apply GAAP knowledge while building Oil & Gas accounting expertise, managing revenue tasks, AP/AR, and JIB in outsourced accounting operations under senior guidance.

You will engage with global client teams, contribute to monthly closes, and participate in ongoing technical training and performance goal setting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Financial Management.
• Active CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting and financial analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Energy sector accounting operations: handle revenue intake, inter-company reports, and JIB processes.
• Core ledger & month-end support: monitor AP/AR, reconcile accounts, assist close cycles.
• Audit & advisory support: analyze financial data for audits and client projects.
• Client engagement & development: liaise with global client teams and participate in training.

We are seeking a detail-driven, eager-to-learn CAAS Energy Associate to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team supporting a leading US-based CPA and consulting firm. You will apply foundational GAAP knowledge while building specialized expertise in Oil & Gas accounting-managing revenue tasks, monitoring AP/AR, supporting Joint Interest Billing (JIB), and delivering outsourced accounting operations under the guidance of industry professionals.

Your Impact

• Energy Sector Accounting Operations: Prepare daily receipts, monthly revenue intake sheets, and inter-company reports; record non-operated Oil & Gas transactions; and assist with Joint Interest Billing (JIB) processes.
• Core Ledger & Month-End Support: Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, track transaction accuracy, perform account reconciliations, and contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Audit & Advisory Assistance: Identify, measure, and analyze financial data to assist with external audit activities, special client projects, and compliance schedules.
• Client Engagement & Development: Proactively engage with global client teams to gather key information, build trust-based relationships, and participate in continuous technical training and annual performance goal setting.

What You Bring

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Financial Management. Active CPA license or CPA eligibility is preferred.
• The Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting and financial analysis experience, showing clear progression in engagement scope and complexity.
• Technical Mastery: Solid grounding in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Willingness to learn specialized Oil & Gas accounting principles.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills; excellent oral and written English communication; high adaptability to fast-paced team environments; and a professional work ethic.
