Job summary

Sportsgirl is seeking a proactive Fashion Buying Assistant to join our BGC office. You will provide administrative support to our Buying Team, helping meet sales and gross profit budgets while supporting the brand's strategic vision.

• Entry-level experience; ideal background in Buying Assistant.
• Experience with Wovens/Production and overseas suppliers.
• Strong technical skills: MS Office, Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with Momentis, IRS, Explorate.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Order & Administration Management: handle order raising, PO updates, ticketing requests, ITB creation.
• Creative Product Development: CAD input, manage CAD using Illustrator/Photoshop, trend research.
• Market Analysis: SWOT and PSA analyses monthly/quarterly/seasonal, with competitor research.
• Supplier Relations: daily communication with overseas and direct suppliers to meet deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with QA, Print Designers, Planning, Marketing and Retail Ops.

Fashion Buying Assistant (Buyers Administration Assistant)

About the Role

Are you passionate about fashion, trend interpretation, and product development? Sportsgirl is looking for a proactive Fashion Buying Assistant to join our BGC office. Reporting directly to the Buyer, you will provide critical administrative support to our Buying Team, helping us achieve our sales and gross profit budgets while supporting the brand's strategic vision.

What You'll Do:

• Order & Administration Management: Accurately handle order raising, Purchase Order updates, ticketing requests, and ITB creation.
• Creative Product Development: Bring creative input to the table, manage daily CAD requirements using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and conduct regular trend research.
• Market Analysis: Collaborate with the Buyer to prepare monthly, quarterly, and seasonal SWOT and PSA analyses, including competitor research.
• Supplier Relations: Communicate daily with overseas and direct suppliers, building strong relationships to ensure critical path deadlines are consistently met.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with QA technicians, Print Designers, Planning, Marketing, and Retail Operations teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Entry-level experience, ideally with a previous background in a Buying Assistant position.
• Experience with Wovens/Production and working with overseas suppliers.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and ideally systems like Momentis, IRS, or Explorate.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
