Job summary

Insight Manila is seeking a Buyer to support software/hardware procurement across a defined geography, ensuring right products, quantities, and best prices. You’ll help manage inventory, ensure supply continuity, and support with audits and supplier relationships.

The role requires at least 6 months in purchasing or related ops, strong organizational skills, and clear communication to coordinate with internal teams and distributors.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in purchasing, procurement, or order management.

Responsibilities

• Place and fulfil purchase orders to distributors, confirm tracking, and document per audit rules.
• Backlog management: place POs the day they are received and chase ETAs with distributors.
• Liaise with Sales and support teams on availability, delivery dates, and post-supply issues.
• Manage incoming workflow requests and tickets, ensuring timely SLAs.
• Maintain supplier relationships, discuss pricing, and assist with supplier onboarding.
• Track and update aged inventory and manage sales rebates and fill-rate targets.
• Ensure adherence to policies, including revenue recognition and daily reporting.
• Deliver license keys to clients for software buyers and provide day-to-day support.

About the role

As Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of software or hardware within a defined geography, ensuring that Insight EMEA purchases the right products and the right quantity at the best price. Operations is the heartbeat of Insight, and you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of inventory and supply. You will help ensure continuity of supply, attain the best value for goods and services acquired, and support Buyers in meeting the company’s operational needs while considering price, quality, and delivery.

Along the way, you will get to:

• Responsible for the correct placement and fulfilment of purchase orders to distributors, including proactive confirmation and obtaining tracking information in line with audit requirements.
• Manage backlogs by ensuring all POs are placed on the day of receipt and following up with distributors for ETAs.
• Liaise with Sales and support teams regarding availability, delivery dates, and post-supply issues to maximize sales potential, ensuring system dates are accurate.
• Manage incoming workflow requests and tickets, ensuring all are responded to within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain and support supplier relationships, liaising over pricing and supply issues, and assisting with due diligence and registration of new suppliers.
• Manage and update aged inventory, track and claim Sales rebates, and ensure fill-rates are met in line with category targets.
• Ensure adherence to Insight’s policies and procedures, particularly regarding revenue recognition and daily departmental reporting.
• Deliver license keys directly to clients (for software buyers) and provide day-to-day support to Buyers as required.

What we're looking for

• At least 6 months experience in purchasing, procurement, order management, or a related operational role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage backlogs, workflow requests, and meet SLAs.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively liaise with internal Sales teams and external suppliers.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy (e.g., updating delivery dates, audit compliance, revenue recognition).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IT industry procurement (hardware/software).
• Experience with ERP systems or ticketing/workflow management tools.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and sales rebates.
