• Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) according to customer specifications.
• Processing & Packaging: Weigh, package, and label meats for retail sale, ensuring proper portion sizes and pricing.
• Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels, monitor quality, and ensure proper rotation of inventory.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with selecting cuts of meat, provide recommendations, and answer questions regarding preparation and cooking.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain butcher tools and machinery safely (e.g., knives, saws, grinders).
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect meat for freshness, quality, and proper storage conditions.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other butchers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the business.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Knife Skills: Proficient in handling sharp knives and butchering tools with precision and safety.
