Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a results-driven Business Development Associate to drive growth across Africa and the Middle East. You will identify opportunities, forge relationships with SMEs, banks and investors, and tailor financial solutions across trade finance and working capital.

The role requires a 2–3 year track record in BD or related finance, strong financial analysis skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, business, economics or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in business development or related financial services.

This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting financial solutions across trade finance, working capital, debt advisory, and capital raising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across Africa and the Middle East

• Build relationships with SMEs, corporates, investors, banks, DFIs, and strategic partners

• Understand client funding requirements and identify suitable financial solutions

• Conduct initial client discussions and convert qualified prospects into business opportunities

• Manage and maintain an active sales pipeline through regular follow-ups

• Conduct market and company research to identify potential clients

• Maintain accurate CRM and business development records

• Coordinate with internal teams to progress qualified transactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Trade Finance, or related financial services

• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial statement analysis

• Ability to understand financial models, business plans, projections, and transaction reports

• Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work independently with international clients

• Excellent English communication skills

• Willingness to work on UK/London working hours
